Residential Zones
Purpose
Residential zones serve as the "batteries" of the workforce. When agents are inside a residential unit, their "Energy" stat regenerates, and their "Safety" need is fulfilled.
Zone Density Types
1. Low Density (Detached Housing)
Description: Single-family homes with small yards.
Capacity: 1 to 4 Agents per building.
Requirements: Low power consumption, road access.
Impact: Generates high happiness for occupants but results in low tax efficiency per grid square. Ideally suited for the outskirts of the city.
2. Medium Density (Apartment Blocks)
Description: Multi-story walk-up buildings.
Capacity: 10 to 20 Agents per building.
Requirements: Moderate power, water connection, proximity to schools.
Impact: Balances density with quality of life. This is the standard housing for the middle class.
3. High Density (Mega-Towers)
Description: Massive skyscrapers synonymous with the SynCity aesthetic.
Capacity: 50 to 200 Agents per building.
Requirements: High power consumption, high police coverage.
Impact: Maximizes workforce efficiency and tax density. However, these buildings can generate crime and lower average happiness if not supported by sufficient parks and services.
