Camera Controls

Navigation in SynCity follows standard RTS (Real-Time Strategy) conventions to ensure familiarity.

• Pan Camera: Use W, A, S, D or move the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen.

• Zoom: Use the Mouse Scroll Wheel. Zooming in reveals street-level details (agent animations). Zooming out switches to the "Region View" (clouds and simplified icons).

• Rotate: Hold the Middle Mouse Button (Scroll Wheel Click) and drag to rotate the camera 360 degrees around the focal point.

Interaction Controls

• Select / Inspect: Left-Click on any building or agent to open the Inspector Panel. This panel shows detailed stats (e.g., an agent's current destination or a building's profit margin).

• Cancel / Deselect: Press ESC or Right-Click on an empty space.

• Build Mode: Click an icon in the toolbar to attach a blueprint to your cursor. Left-Click to place it on the map.

• Demolish: Select the Bulldozer tool and Left-Click on existing structures to remove them. Note that demolishing usually costs a small fee.

Data Views & Overlays

In the top-left corner of the UI, players can toggle Data Layers.

• Key Shortcut [1]: Normal View.

• Key Shortcut [2]: Power Grid View (shows electrified cables).

• Key Shortcut [3]: Water View (shows pipe pressure).

• Key Shortcut [4]: Traffic & Pollution View.
